Clinton Township is the largest township in Michigan by population, and it has the venue density to match. Between the halls along Gratiot, the Metro Parkway corridor and the river, more Macomb County receptions happen inside this township than anywhere else in the county.
The upside of that density is choice. The catch is that a lot of these rooms are large, low-ceilinged and lit with whatever the hall installed, which is where photography either holds up or falls apart. We bring our own lighting to every reception rather than pushing the ISO and hoping. It is the single biggest difference between reception photos that look like the room felt and reception photos that look orange.
For portraits, the Clinton River corridor and George George Memorial Park give you trees and water within a few minutes of most halls here, so you are not trading reception time for a drive across the county.
